Just came back from Cambodia

There is more of a sight-seeing place.

Couldn't do much shopping.

First day we went on a boat ride in Tonel Sap Lake

Scenery was great!

There were little kids sitting in metal tins in the water but we were told not to take photo of them cos they would ask us for money after that...

Went for a Khmer full body massage after that. Shiok sia. haha




Day 2:

Went to Ankor Thom and Ankor Wat to see the structures.

Even though Ankor Wat is one of the seven wonders of the world, most of us felt that ankor thom was nicer.


We went to Ta Prohm where Angelina Jolie went to film Tomb Raider. Cool right? XD


Most of the structures there are destroyed by the roots of the trees.

Didn't know that the roots could be so powerful. haha

Went to see the sunset at Angkor Wat there or something.

We had to walk quite a distance and climb quite a steep flight of stairs to get a great view of the sunset.


Day 3:

Went to a place to see how the people carve the structures.

It's a lot of work man.

They employ the deaf and mute to provide jobs for them.



Next, we went to the silkworm museum.

The silkworm looks quite cute! haha


Saw how the women use the silk to make into different things.

Watching them do it was already tiring. haha

Went to Cambodian Cultural Village.

We watched a few shows.

There was one showing a traditional wedding. And my dad was asked to go up to be the father of the angmoh son whom they also picked from the audience. haha.


Oh, that day was Christmas Eve. So we headed to Pub Street to celebrate.

So we spent Christmas dancing at some disco area in one of the clubs. haha.


We went to the Royal Palace.




Its quite cool living in such a huge place. But quite lonely too.

Especially since the king is still single. haha

Checked in to another hotel- Nagaworld



That place is damn nice i swear. It's quite grand!

The food is awesome too!

Like they serve oysters and sushi and chicken rice and like everything!

And since it was Christmas, there were loads of xmas food!

Especially the desserts! Plus turkey too! :D




Day 5:

Went to Choeung Ek Genodical Center where many people were killed.

They have this building with all the skulls in it.


They showed us the place where the people were killed and buried abt 30 years ago.

Like they hold children by their legs and swing their head against the tree. Damn sad.


Then we could still see the remains of their clothes and even some parts of their bones.

Such as their teeth or their jaw bone.

Everytime when there is heavy rain, more remains will surface....
.

After that we went to Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum.

It was previously a high school but Pol Pot, leader of the Cambodian Communist movement, turned it into a prison called S-21

Alot alot people were tortured there and then sent to Choeung Ek Genodical Center to be killed.




That guy is seriously damn evil sia.

All of us felt really sad after going to those 2 places.....

Headed shopping after that! But like i said, not much stuff to buy.

Took a flight back here a few hours after that.
